Privacy Policy

LoanReveal (loanreveal.com) offers free loan calculators. We designed it to work without knowing who you are. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

1. Anonymous calculator usage

When you use a calculator we store anonymous events in our own database: which tool you opened, the numbers you entered (for example loan amount, rate and tenure), the key results, the page path, the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you arrived on (such as utm_source=instagram), a coarse device type (mobile, tablet or desktop) and your country as reported by our hosting provider. Each browser tab gets a random session ID that is deleted when you close the tab.

We do not store your IP address, name, phone number, loan account number or anything else that identifies you with these events. We use them to understand which tools help people and to improve accuracy.

2. Things you send us

If you use the contact form we store your name, email and message so we can reply. If you joined a "notify me" list in the past, we hold your email and the tool you chose; we no longer run these lists and won't email you about them, and you can ask us to delete your entry. If you send a question from the box under a calculator, we store your question, the calculator it came from, whether you found it helpful, and your email only if you choose to give it. Loans you save in "My loan" are kept only in your browser's local storage on your device and are never sent to us. 3. No sharing with lenders

We have no lending partners and do not share any personal data with banks, NBFCs or loan agents. If we ever add an option to request loan offers, it will only work with your explicit consent, and we will update this policy and our How we make money page before it goes live.

4. Analytics and advertising (Google)

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic, and may show ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits and to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't share contact or waitlist details with banks, lenders or agents.
• We don't ask for documents, PAN, Aadhaar or bank logins.

How long we keep data

• Anonymous usage events: up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated.
• Contact messages: up to 12 months after we close the conversation.
• Waitlist emails: until the tool launches and we send the one email, or until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or erase personal data you have given us (contact or waitlist details), or withdraw consent, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. Because usage events are anonymous, we cannot link them to you.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS and stored with access restricted to the people who run LoanReveal. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum.

Children

LoanReveal is meant for adults managing their own loans. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
